The Opportunity

Join our Contaminated Land Management (CLM) team in Adelaide and help shape the future of environmental assessment, investigation and remediation across South Australia.

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Environmental Engineer or Scientist to contribute to high-impact projects, collaborate with industry leaders, and make a meaningful difference in land revitalisation.

We’re flexible; offering both full-time and part-time roles, plus hybrid working options to support a strong work-life balance.

 

What You’ll Be Doing 

As part of our multidisciplinary earth and environmental services business, you will:

  • Manage and support site investigations, environmental due diligence, portfolio assessments, remediation planning, and validation activities
  • Work on diverse sites across commercial, industrial, petroleum and other sites in both private and government sectors
  • Balance technical work (field and office), project management, and team development

Recent Project Highlights:

  • Major SA road infrastructure projects: Environmental and geotechnical assessments including Torrens to Darlington (T2D) and Main South Road Upgrade
  • New Women’s and Children’s Hospital: Preliminary soil, groundwater, and geotechnical investigations
  • Redevelopment initiatives: Former Thebarton Bioscience Precinct and Royal Adelaide Hospital
  • Property development support: Due diligence, environmental duty assessments, remediation and construction advisory
  • EPA Assessment Areas and regulatory monitoring for licensed sites

Our Adelaide-based CLM team has a solid current workload, with plenty of ongoing and new projects and opportunities across the Adelaide and wider SA market, with strong collaboration and opportunities to work across our national CLM and Earth & Environment network around Australia.

 

About You

As a team-oriented problem solver with a collaborative spirit and a commitment to environmental excellence, you will bring:

  • 5–8 years’ experience in site contamination assessment, management, and delivery
  • Proven strength in design, implementation, interpretation of environmental data and delivery of Contaminated Land Projects
  • Technical knowledge across contaminants, environmental media, sampling, and remediation technologies (soil, groundwater, gas, etc.)
  • Familiarity with local environmental regulations and assessment standards
  • A record of excellence in client and project management
  • Passion for mentoring junior staff and contributing to a high-performing, supportive culture
