WSP Sydney is looking for a Senior to Associate Hydraulic Engineer to lead hydraulic services design across a major multi‑station transport program. This is an opportunity to work on a complex, high‑impact project portfolio while providing technical leadership and shaping delivery across multiple station environments.
The Opportunity
You will lead hydraulic design packages from concept through to detailed documentation, coordinating interfaces across several stations and working closely with architects, builders, authorities and multidisciplinary engineering teams. This role suits someone who brings strong consulting experience, enjoys solving complex design challenges and thrives in highly collaborative environments.
What You’ll Do
- Lead hydraulic services design across a multi‑station transport program
- Ensure compliance with NCC, Australian Standards and authority requirements
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, fire, civil, architectural and structural disciplines
- Support design reviews, risk assessments and technical decision‑making
- Mentor intermediate engineers and contribute to capability development
- Engage directly with clients, contractors and stakeholders throughout design and delivery
About You
- Strong background in hydraulic services design within complex building or infrastructure projects
- Experience in transport, rail or station work advantageous but not essential
- Proven capability delivering design from concept through detailed stages
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards, NCC and authority requirements
- Excellent coordination skills and confidence working in multidisciplinary teams
- Clear communicator who brings initiative and a solutions‑focused mindset
- Relevant engineering degree; chartership (or working towards) highly valued
