  • Ongoing technical advisory through commissioning

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a client-focused leader with a passion for technical excellence, mentoring, and collaboration. You’ll bring a consultative mindset, a drive to deliver, and a commitment to shaping the future of grid-connected energy systems.

Your Qualifications & Experience

  • To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring:

  • Steady-state, dynamic, and electromagnetic transient (RMS/EMT) studies
  • Grid connection and GPS studies (R0, R1), R2 commissioning plans, hold point testing, and model validation for utility-scale Inverter-Based Resources (IBRs)
  • Proven expertise in the generator connection process under the Australian National Electricity Rules (NER) or similar frameworks, with strong knowledge of Generator Technical Performance Standards (GTPS)
  • An ability to provide advice as an Owner’s Engineer, Lender’s Engineer or as part of a Technical Due Diligence
  • Proficiency in PSS/E and PSCAD; experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSSE SINCAL is a plus
  • Familiarity with a wide range of synchronous and non-synchronous technologies, including storage, hybrids, and grid-forming inverters
  • Experience with hybrid renewable energy projects, data centre connections, and automation/Python programming
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and produce clear, targeted technical reports
  • Demonstrated success in leading connection negotiations with AEMO, DNSPs, and TNSPs

Leadership & Management Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Oversee technical delivery from feasibility to commissioning, ensuring quality and compliance
  • Mentorship: Coach engineers across all levels, fostering a culture of learning and innovation
