The Opportunity

The IT Onsite Support Specialist is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of IT onsite services in the WSP Melbourne office and associated regional (IT Hub) offices. This includes providing a rapid and efficient resolution service for any issues, problems, requests and escalation to other IT support teams as needed. 

Providing 1st & 2nd Level IT support 

  • Adhere to Front Line Services (FLS) governance and procedures 
  • Ensure day-to-day services (including meeting rooms) are operational and available, with all support tasks completed successfully. 
  • Deliver a consistent high standard of service to end users, including evaluating and resolving routine user problems through hardware, software, or system maintenance, and liaising with external support contractors as needed. 
  • Provide assistance to end users in the use of computer equipment and software applications, answering questions, and resolving problems regarding application methods and procedures. 
  • Ensure end user satisfaction by providing proactive and efficient support. 
  • Perform the installation, testing, and monitoring of new hardware/software; configure hardware and software; and undertake updates as required. 
  • Aid in effective onboarding/offboarding process management. 
  • Oversee and manage hardware asset inventory, ensuring accurate status tracking within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Qualification in a computing discipline and/or a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an IT support function. 
  • Enthusiastic and passionate in the IT and Service Delivery. 
  • Contemporary working knowledge of a wide range of computer technologies, including desktop hardware, operating systems, peripherals, thin client technology, and office automation products. 
  • Working knowledge of communication protocols and tools e.g., DHCP, TCP/IP, SCCM etc.  
  • High level competency in all Microsoft Office applications including O365, Teams etc.  
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow and ITIL methodologies.  
  • ITIL v4 Foundations Certification. (Desirable) 
  • Experience in supporting digital engineering applications. (Desirable) 
  • Maintain a current Driver’s Licence.
