Our Mining Group

Our global team of over 5,200 dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry to decarbonise mining operations in the accelerating green transition. Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you’ll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.

What you’ll do:

Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster from WA, you'll be supporting the Senior Environmental Advisors and wider Construction Team with day to day environmental support. You will be responsible for the overall collection of site data, managing permits and approvals and conduct regular risk and compliance inspections.

  • Coordinate project induction and environmental management systems training.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary and cohesive team to successfully deliver all required environmental approvals to support our business.
  • Liaise with technical experts on interpretation of findings of surveys and studies for inclusion in approval applications.
  • Provide general environmental advice and support for site-based construction and operations staff.
  • Conduct site audits and report the outcomes and recommendations to the Construction & Project Managers.
  • Data management and coordination, managing contractor GIS data and updating maps.

About You

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline relating to Environment.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience including site based construction experience.
  • Rio Tinto site and system experience.
  • Experience in processing land disturbance GIS data
  • High-level communication and presentation skills
