Due to the ongoing success of our national operations, we are expanding our Dam Engineering capability and looking for Dams Engineers across all levels from Professional to Principal to join our Adelaide-based team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and high-profile projects across Australia, delivering innovative solutions for water infrastructure, dam safety, and environmental protection. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and play a key role in designing and assessing dams that support communities and industries nationwide.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and deliver projects focused on:
- Water infrastructure - including dam engineering, earth structures, repair works, and wastewater management ponds.
- Mining - tailings storage facilities and associated containment systems.
- Ground engineering - slope stabilization and rehabilitation for dam embankments.
- Waste management: Engineered containment systems and geosynthetic applications
· Develop innovative solutions for geo-environmental and dam engineering challenges, integrating sustainability into broader infrastructure projects
- Conduct dam safety inspections, investigations, and condition assessments.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including design reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Develop innovative solutions for dam design and remediation, integrating sustainability and resilience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the water and infrastructure sectors.
- Ensure technical excellence and compliance with ANCOLD/ICOLD guidelines.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Support project management activities to deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
About You
We welcome applications from experienced Dams Engineers across all levels, from Professional to Principal.
You will have a tertiary qualification in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering, combined with 3+ years of experience in dam engineering or related fields.
You will also bring:
- Proven experience in dam design, safety assessments, and remediation.
- Strong technical knowledge of embankment dams, hydraulic structures, and geotechnical principles.
- Familiarity with ANCOLD and ICOLD standards.
- Excellent communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and integrate into multidisciplinary projects.
- A proactive, innovative mindset with a commitment to sustainability and technical excellence.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
