Are you looking to build your career in rail electrification and contribute to the future of sustainable transport? 

We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer with a keen interest in traction power systems to join our nationally recognised Rail Engineering team. This is a great opportunity to work on impactful AC/DC rail electrification projects and grow your expertise across the full asset lifecycle from planning through to delivery. 

You’ll be part of a nationally recognised Traction Power team, supporting experienced engineers on complex projects across local, interstate, and international networks. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of tasks, helping clients achieve safe, efficient, and future-ready rail infrastructure. 

This role is based in Sydney, NSW, but we welcome applicants from other locations across Australia. 

What You’ll Do: 

You'll have the opportunity to work on nationally significant rail projects while learning from some of the industry’s leading traction power experts. 

  • Assist in the design, proposals and coordination of traction power systems and infrastructure 
  • Support the preparation of technical reports and feasibility studies 
  • Contribute to AC/DC traction electrification and substation design 
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes 
  • Learn to apply HV/LV earth grid design principles and safety standards 
  • Build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders 

 What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Engineering 
  • At least 2 years’ experience in working in electrical engineering (rail or infrastructure experience is a plus) 
  • An interest in High Voltage and Low Voltage systems and safety standards 
  • Exposure to engineering software such as PSCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, or similar (training provided) 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills 
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, supportive environment
