Structural Team Manager | Water Utilities | Sydney

As a Structural Team Manager in our Water Utilities team at WSP, you'll join forces with some of the brightest minds in the industry to deliver iconic Future Ready™ projects that improve lives, protect the environment, and support thriving communities.
With a strong foundation in structural engineering — particularly water-retaining structures — and a passion for team leadership, you’ll take charge of a high-performing group of 10–15 engineers, project managers, and technical specialists. Together, you’ll drive innovation, ensure technical excellence, and lead with purpose on some of the state’s most important infrastructure programs.

What you'll do
As Team Manager, you’re not just managing — you're inspiring, delivering, and influencing. You’ll:
- Lead the daily rhythm of your team, from operations and resourcing to culture and wellbeing.
- Balance delivery with leadership, maintaining billable work while ensuring high-quality, on-budget projects.
- Apply your hands-on technical skills to solve complex challenges and mentor others.
- Partner with senior leaders on recruitment, growth planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Cultivate strong client relationships and contribute to business development.
- Champion WSP’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and safety.
About you
We’re looking for a confident leader and technical expert who’s ready to take the next big step. You’ll have:
- 10+ years of experience in engineering consultancy — water sector experience esssential
- A degree in Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- A track record of managing high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong technical know-how in water systems design and project delivery.
- Experience leading proposals and developing client relationships.
- Existing connections in the NSW Water market are highly regarded.
