Our Mining Group

Our global team of over 5,200 dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry to decarbonise mining operations in the accelerating green transition. Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you’ll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.

What you’ll do:

This role supports the successful delivery of projects by assisting Project Managers with planning, coordination, financial control, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. The position involves preparing key project documentation such as management plans, risk registers, and monthly reports, while maintaining accurate financial records in collaboration with the Project Finance Specialist. It also supports procurement, invoicing, and change management processes to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. Some of your key day to day duties will be:

  • Support project delivery and stakeholder engagement in line with best practices.
  • Assist with project documentation including management, risk, and HSE plans.
  • Set up projects in ERP systems with detailed work breakdown structures.
  • Monitor and report project progress, costs, and forecasts.
  • Conduct variance analysis and assist with corrective actions.
  • Manage invoicing, purchase orders, and creditor approvals.
  • Liaise with the Project Finance Specialist for budgeting and reporting.
  • Maintain project schedules and support change management processes.
  • Coordinate mobilisation, logistics, and document control.
  • Prepare proposals, attend meetings, and manage action tracking.

About You

We have a strong focus on culture within the Mining Advisory division, so if you feel you meet some of the requirements and responsibilities of the role, but not all, we would still encourage you to apply. Training will be provided for a more junior candidate that aligns with our friendly and supportive team culture. 

  • Strong financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, and project controls
  • Previous experience in a project management environment
  • Experience within the Mining industry preferable
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well within a team environment and autonomously
  • Computer and software skills comparable to role, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite applications and Enterprise Resource Planning systems
