Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator in Brisbane (Part-time)

As a key member of our HSE team, you’ll:

  • Champion a proactive HSE culture by providing expert guidance and support to people, project managers, and workers.
  • Implement and monitor critical HSE controls, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead risk assessments and emergency response processes, safeguarding our people and the environment.
  • Analyse incidents and non-conformities, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Curate and share HSE knowledge, keeping teams informed and empowered with the latest insights.
  • Support injury and claims management, contributing to a holistic approach to health and safety.

Please note that this is a part-time role that offers the flexibility of 3 days a week or 22.5 hours per week, starting in late July or August 2025.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience in HSE or a similar risk-focused role, ideally within a comparable industry.
  • Experience in managing Workcover claims
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Teamwork and relationship-building skills, fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Technical HSE expertise, including training, auditing, and investigation capabilities.
  • Knowledge of WSP’s HSE systems and business processes, or a willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Return to Work Coordinator certification (desirable).
