What you’ll do:
We’re looking for an experienced Principal Environmental Consultant to join our growing Earth & Environment group, based in Western Australia. In this role, you’ll play a key part in leading environmental approvals for mining and resources projects across WA’s diverse landscapes. Your day to day will look like;
- Lead and deliver complex environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and approvals for mining and resources projects across WA.
- Develop and implement approvals strategies that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships with regulators, communities, Traditional Owners and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of high-quality environmental documentation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level consultants.
- Support business development through proposal writing, client engagement and identifying new opportunities.
About You
As a Principal, you’ll bring deep consulting experience and approvals expertise to guide our clients through all stages of the approvals lifecycle; from strategy and stakeholder engagement to technical assessments and regulator negotiations. We're also hoping you will come with;
- Bachelors Degree in Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering or Equivalent.
- Extensive consulting experience, with a strong track record delivering environmental approvals for mining projects in WA or similar jurisdictions.
- In-depth knowledge of WA’s environmental legislation, policies and approvals pathways (EP Act, Mining Act, Part IV, etc).
- Strong networks within the mining and resources industry, and ideally with regulators and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary projects and work collaboratively across teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A passion for guiding clients to deliver responsible, sustainable outcomes.
