Your New Role

We’re looking for an Associate to Associate Director to join our Electrical Building Services team. You’ll work closely with our Building Services Director, leading technical delivery, managing projects and people, and helping shape the strategic direction of the business.

You will be part of a wider network of professional engineers working on both local and national projects. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the technical design on electrical services, including design management, for medium to large multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Deliver best practice and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time.
  • Acting as a Project Lead and managing a small team of Engineers and Drafters.
  • Communicating effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teams.
  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers.
  • Building solid client relationships and recognising business development opportunities (desirable).
  • Representing and promoting the business within local and regional markets.
  • Contributing to the development of the business unit against strategic goals.

About You

  • Hold a recognised Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrate expertise in designing electrical systems for building services.
  • Ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design.
  • Proven project experience in the building services sector across Infrastructure, Property & Buildings, Defence, Healthcare, Educational, and/or Mission Critical facilities.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards; local WA experience an advantage.
  • Ensure registration (or eligibility for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.
  • Demonstrate a history of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritising work, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Capable project and people leader who can train and mentor junior engineers, coupled with effective communication skills at all levels.
