The Opportunity
What you’ll do:
You will provide HR business partnering support to our Mining & Metals Business Group based in Perth, in collaboration with the Senior HR Business Partner. You will enjoy coaching leaders to drive our people priorities and business strategy. Leveraging AI-enabled tools, you will support leaders to make informed decisions, anticipating workforce needs and shaping effective people solutions.
Reporting to the HR Business Partner Lead, you form part of a large and highly capable People Team, supported by global Centres of Excellence. You will collaborate with the Senior HR Business Partner to take ownership of core HR responsibilities and tailor solutions to meet the needs of your client group. This includes delivering the full annual employee cycle, leading strategic planning activity, contributing to key HR projects, and supporting change management programs and other initiatives that build a future-ready organisation.
About you:
You’ll be a degree‑qualified HR professional with proven experience in the Mining & Metals sector, supporting the full employee lifecycle and consistently delivering high‑quality people outcomes.
You’re naturally curious and enjoy digging into complex people issues—researching, problem‑solving and translating insight into practical solutions that unlock business value. Based in Perth (no FIFO required), you’ll thrive on building strong, trusted relationships and contributing meaningfully to both business objectives and the broader people strategy.
With a genuine interest in how the organisation operates and what motivates its people, you’ll bring experience coaching leaders, managing a range of ER matters, facilitating workshops, analysing workforce data, and contributing to the delivery of integrated business and people initiatives. You’ll also value collaboration, working closely with peers as part of a high‑performing HRBP team.
Your background will include:
- Generalist HR professional, coupled with formal HR qualifications.
- Experience as a Strategic HR Business partner with strong business acumen.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with and coaching leaders and teams to deliver strategic plans.
- Detailed knowledge of Human Resource organisational policies and practices.
- Solid knowledge of generalist Human Resources best practices.
- Experience in investigations of workplace and performance management issues.
- Experience in change management.
- Experience in managing projects of varying complexity and size.
