Our global team of over 5,200 dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry to decarbonise mining operations in the accelerating green transition. Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you’ll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.
What you’ll do:
As a Site Civil Engineer, you will join a hardworking mining project team, operating on a 2:1 roster from Perth. This 6-month contract role will see you providing technical engineering support on site to ensure project delivery meets operational requirements and engineering standards. Your responsibilities at site will also include:
- Ensuring all civil engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Obtaining appropriate approvals and documenting calculations, specifications, and variations.
- Preparing documentation for standards, procedures and safe working practices.
- Collaborating with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of activities.
- Providing innovative solutions to complex challenges and strive towards meeting all safety, environmental, specifications, design and contractual requirements.
- Managing the quality assurance of works.
About You
You’re likely to have prior experience in a mine site-based FIFO role and are able to work well both independently and as a part of a team to ensure the overall project delivery objectives are met. In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in Civil Engineering and previous site experience within mining projects.
- Knowledge of civil engineering project delivery in regard to design, project execution, construction, and commissioning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work quickly, effectively and positively in a demanding environment.
- Excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes.
