As we continue to expand our sustaining capital and brownfields project portfolio, we’re seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in mechanical, piping and process engineering to lead multidisciplinary projects through study and design.
What you’ll do:
As a Project Manager within our Mining & Resources business, you’ll manage the delivery of sustaining capital projects across a range of mining clients and commodities. Working within a collaborative design and studies team, you’ll lead engineering design, coordinate technical disciplines, manage project budgets and schedules, and maintain strong client relationships to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Lead the planning and delivery of sustaining capital and brownfields mining projects across studies and detailed design phases.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule in alignment with WSP’s quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams – mechanical, piping, process, civil, structural, and electrical.
- Engage directly with clients to understand requirements, provide technical input, and drive value-added solutions.
- Prepare and review project documentation including estimates, proposals, reports, and design deliverables.
- Support the development of project controls and reporting to ensure consistent performance and transparency.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience working on mining sustaining capital, brownfields, or expansion projects within a consulting or owner’s team environment.
- Solid understanding of slurry, piping, process, or mechanical systems in mining operations.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering design, feasibility studies, and project delivery.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work within a dynamic team delivering multiple projects concurrently.
