Are you ready to lead a talented team of water professionals and make a real impact on the Gold Coast’s water infrastructure? WSP is seeking a dynamic Team Manager to drive excellence in water and wastewater asset planning, management, and design for the City of Gold Coast, as well as support projects across northern NSW, Queensland, and nationally.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and grow a team of water engineers, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Manage project delivery, resource allocation, and business outcomes for water projects of varying scale and complexity.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to the implementation of client strategies and CRM plans.
- Prepare and review technical reports, design deliverables, and planning studies.
- Take a hands-on role in winning new work, writing proposals, and leading pursuits.
- Recruit new team members and develop internal networks.
- Champion safety, environmental processes, and risk management across all projects.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required); further technical, management, and diversity training (desirable).
- 10+ years’ experience in water engineering, including formal leadership roles.
- Proven track record in managing project scope, budgets, and teams.
- Experience in business development, proposal management (projects $500,000+), and strategic planning.
- Strong client-facing skills and the ability to resolve project-related issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, ethics, and safety.
- Ability to balance innovation, quality, and technical excellence with timely delivery.
- Emotional intelligence, authenticity, and a future-focused mindset.
