Your new role
We are seeking intermediate Hydraulic Engineer who are looking to join our Brisbane team and further develop their engineering and consulting skills in an environment which encourages on the job training and an internal learning and development program to further enhance your foundation skills. The day-to-day role will include:
- Preparing Hydraulic engineering design documentation, from concept through to tender and construction phase in support of technical, commercial, regulatory and safety standards;
- Collaborating with other design teams and engineering disciplines to ensure the coordination and resolution of the overall project design solutions, and;
- Assisting in the delivery of project-related tasks to meet budget, timeframe and quality targets;
- Interfacing with relevant authorities and project stakeholders
- Attending inspections and collaborating with trade contractors to ensure that the designs are installed on site in accordance with the briefed requirements
Your profile
- Bachelor to Master level degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil or Building Services Engineering);
- 2 to 5+ years’ industry experience within an Australian building services consulting engineering practice;
- Well versed across a range of building sectors
- Have your Professional Engineers registration (or working towards it)
- Experience with Hydraulic engineering design and liaising with relevant authorities
- Intermediate knowledge of relevant Australia Standards and Building Code of Australia
- Excellent time management, written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Understanding of Revit MEP, NavisWorks and BIM would be advantageous, but not essential.
