As a Civil Engineer / Planning Engineer in our Water Business Group, you’ll lead technical assessments of water supply and sewerage networks, tackling growth, compliance, and performance challenges head-on. From strategic and master planning to feasibility studies, you’ll be at the forefront of projects that matter—projects that support communities and future-proof infrastructure.

This role supports the NG4D program and can be based in Brisbane or Gold Coast. We welcome applications from experienced engineers through to Principal level.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support/Lead technical assessments of water supply and sewerage networks to address growth, compliance, performance, and renewal needs.
  • Deliver strategic and master planning, options analysis, feasibility investigations, and detailed planning projects.
  • Assist in the development of business cases that support investment decisions and long-term infrastructure sustainability.
  • Facilitate client and stakeholder workshops, presenting complex ideas in an engaging and accessible way.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Prepare clear, well-structured technical reports and proposals for medium to large-scale projects.
  • Stay active in industry associations and uphold SHEQ standards across all project phases.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in water infrastructure planning and consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of water/sewerage network operations and hydraulic principles.
  • Experience in hydraulic modelling, MCA, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Proficiency in GIS and Excel for data analysis and mapping.
  • Ability to lead / support proposals and client-focused solutions.
  • Recognised engineering degree (Civil or related); Chartered status (CPENG) is a plus.
