About the Role
The Sales Team Leader is accountable for owning and executing the customer strategy through disciplined account planning, ensuring clear prioritisation, performance targets and alignment to broader business objectives.
The role drives new sales growth while increasing share of wallet from existing customers, balancing business development with strong customer retention and long‑term value creation. With a strong focus on sales excellence, the Sales Team Leader leads and develops the sales team to deliver against targets, embedding effective sales processes, performance management and a high‑performance culture.
This role is a contract position until 30th April 2027
What you’ll be doing
- Own and execute the customer, channel and servicing strategy, including customer tiering and alignment to the broader business strategy
- Lead sales planning, forecasting, expense control and budgeting, with clear governance and performance tracking
- Drive structured account planning across the portfolio, identifying growth opportunities, risks, and required mitigations
- Set account priorities, KPI targets and resource allocation to maximise revenue and retention
- Lead business development activity, including market scanning, relationship building and pipeline development
- Oversee bid and tender activity, ensuring consistency, quality and commercial rigour
- Lead selling and cross‑selling strategies across regions, supporting complex negotiations and key deals
- Build and maintain senior relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
- Oversee customer and internal product demonstrations and sales enablement training
- Lead, coach and performance‑manage the sales team, including capability development, process optimisation and KPI reporting

What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in sales leadership or senior sales roles, with the ability to coach, performance‑manage and lift team capability
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in an account management role, owning customer portfolios and delivering sustained revenue growth
- Strong commercial and business development capability, with a track record of growing share of wallet and new sales
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to build trusted relationships with senior customers and internal partners
- Strong sales discipline, including forecasting, pipeline management, KPI tracking and sales process optimisation
