About the Role

Manage all outward goods movements in the Distribution centre including, Picking, Packing and dispatch, manage area leads to ensure all daily KPI safety and DIFOT targets are met.

The Outwards Good Lead will operate on a 45% office work and 55% warehouse floor split being able to provide both strong people management, leadership, planning and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage of tasks in the Picking, Packing and Dispatch departments, including training and labour planning
  • Monitor all areas to ensure KPI targets are being met and recorded accurately. 
  • Prepare and monitor the use of consumables within your area.
  • Co-ordinate with WWG local freight and External suppliers to ensure on time and accurate delivery schedules.
  • Review and report of DIFOT for all outbound orders from the DC.
  • Plan and review all wave drops for work allocation supported by the operations manager.
  • Maintain a high level of Housekeeping and ensure the environment is safe to work in.
  • Take part in daily allocations meetings and plan the labour required to complete your task on Budget in line with KPI.
  • Review your KPI’s and use reporting to develop ways to increase efficiency within your area.
  • Recruit and induct staff to meet capacity requirements across all accountable areas of the shift.
  • Rostering and monitoring of timesheets daily
  • Supervise day to day operations and direct level 5’s where required
  • Manage recruitment , induction and training of team members (end to end which includes ATRs, onboarding and offboarding)

What we’re looking for

  • The successful applicant will have experience in a similar role within a large-scale warehouse in addition to this:
  • Experience with management of a group of 5 – 40 floor staff.
  • Experience with KPI and Labour Planning.
  • Ability to Coach and Train and performance manage staff at a floor level.
  • Experience with safety and culture
  • Good performance management skills and ability to resolve situations efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience with loading and unloading vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of end to end warehouse practices
  • LO and LF Licenses Desirable, but not essential.
