About the Role

The cloud engineer role will support and deliver cloud infrastructure & cloud automation at Workwear Group by delivering operation support and improvements to the WWG cloud-based infrastructure operating environment and providing and supporting tools and patterns to deliver automation that supports the WWG digital strategy.

The role will be responsible for the ongoing service level attainment of production environments. The role will be required to help define the roadmap and strategy around private and public cloud through the deliver and support of automating both infrastructure and applications, creating CI/CD pipelines, coding/scripting and delivering migrations, uplift of services.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and delivering cloud, DevOps & infrastructure operational outcomes, ensuring business objectives and customer expectations are met
  • Support the Azure cloud services & virtual machines including Azure AD, as well as on-prem Windows server operating systems.
  • Providing technical leadership and support the operational needs of the product delivery “focus” teams to help ensure they deliver on commitments
  • Manage and execute security, compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and develop technical solutions to achieve business resilience
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure solutions that are scalable, adaptive and continuously evolving including automation
  • Manage technical solutions to achieve the most cost-effective outcome in meeting business objectives and operations
  • Continuous evaluation of the Scalability and Performance of our infrastructure
  • Work closely on the design and implementation of solutions with senior members of the team.
  • Help produce appropriate infrastructure designs and technical specifications in line with defined processes to support the development of new and improved systems.
  • Work with the team where required to resolve technical incidents.
  • Maintain a “right-sized” environment to ensure an appropriate cloud spend profile.

What we’re looking for

  • You will be highly commercial and possess strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Along with your business acumen, you will have:
  • Tertiary Degree in Internet Software Development or Computer Systems required
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure public cloud
  • Strong documentation skills, including documenting technical specifications, standard operating procedures and build and configuration guides
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365
  • Solid understanding of good Cyber Security practices
  • Experience with the Scrum and Kanban methodologies
