About the Role

As the Production Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing production planning, supplier relationships, and ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality products in line with Australian Defence Force (ADF) requirements.

You will work closely with key internal stakeholders and offshore/onshore supply partners to ensure production plans are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest standards of compliance and quality.

What you’ll be doing

  • Source and negotiate costings for ADF Uniforms to meet contractual requirements.
  • Allocate production across suppliers, ensuring a strong commercial focus on cost efficiencies and on-time delivery.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with WWG Ethical Sourcing standards.
  • Implement supplier performance reviews, audits, and corrective action plans where necessary.
  • Track and report on supply chain performance metrics, including delivery lead times, turnaround times, DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time), and quality investigations.
  • Maintain continuous and open communication with suppliers to optimise operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve value for money and operational efficiencies, without compromising on quality or compliance.
  • Coordinate production plans and schedules to meet ADF delivery timelines.
  • Collate and prepare performance reporting in line with ADF’s Statement of Work (SOW) requirements.
  • Emphasise exception reporting and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Contribute to ongoing process reviews and improvements in collaboration with peers.

What we’re looking for

You are a detail-oriented, highly organised professional who thrives in a dynamic supply chain environment. You combine strong communication skills with a solutions-focused mindset to successfully manage production operations across a global supply base.

You will ideally have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar production or sourcing role across a global supply chain.
  • Understanding of local and offshore manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (desirable).
  • Strong negotiation skills with a solutions-driven approach.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and analysis.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
  • Commitment to ethical sourcing practices and continuous improvement.
