About the Role
As a Planner for the ADF uniform program, you will support the end-to-end demand and supply planning process to ensure contracted inventory levels are met. Your focus will be on maintaining forecast accuracy, managing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure reliable supply.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve planning issues, implement process improvements, and contribute to performance across key KPIs. This role plays a vital part in supporting the delivery of mission-critical products to Australia’s Defence Force.
What you’ll be doing
- ADF Planning & Reporting: Support the development of demand forecasts, monitor supply variances, and align plans with supplier capacity and lead times.
 - Purchase Order Management: Assist with end-to-end PO processes, ensuring accuracy, timely confirmations, and proactive risk identification.
 - Inventory Management: Contribute to inventory planning to meet KPIs, manage stock levels across the product lifecycle, and support risk mitigation efforts.
 - Supplier Coordination: Work closely with production and suppliers to support performance tracking, lead time reviews, and minimum order quantity strategies.
 - Sales & Operations Planning: Participate in monthly reviews of demand versus sales forecasts, helping communicate variances and support resolution planning with stakeholders
 
What we’re looking for
- 2–3 years’ experience in demand or supply planning, ideally within a complex supply chain or apparel environment.
 - Solid understanding of forecasting and data interpretation, with a willingness to contribute to process improvements.
 - Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with planning systems and Power BI is a plus.
 - Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and good organisational skills.
 - Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and build positive stakeholder relationships.
