About the Role

As a Processing Assistant, you will be a vital member of our Totalcare team, ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible. We are responsible for the incoming and outgoing of structural firefighting garments, from washing and drying them, to inspecting and repairing them, to packing and shipping them.

This role is diverse and dynamic, requiring both warehouse operations and customer service skills. You will have the opportunity to work with different teams, learn new processes, and contribute to our mission of providing quality workwear solutions.

Working hours - 9.00am to 5.30pm

Shift options: Tuesday to Saturday OR Sunday to Thursday

What you’ll be doing

  • Be part of a team that handles all aspects of processing, assessing, laundering, re-washing, and dispatching of structural firefighting garments.
  • Help with sending the garments to stores, firefighters, and other customers who rely on our workwear solutions.
  • Receipting garments for launder ensuring all is scanned in and following the process
  • Keeping track of the garments and update the system records with accurate data entry.
  • Inspecting garments for any damage or wear and tear and decide if they need repair or replacement.
  • Sorting the garments for repair and make sure they have the correct paperwork attached.
  • Packing and label the garments neatly and securely for storage and dispatch.
  • Scanning the barcode of new stock as it arrives and check for any discrepancies.
  • Keeping the workplace tidy and organised as per company standards.
  • Assist with emails and phone calls and respond to any queries or feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be flexible, adaptable and take on any other task that Totalcare needs you to do.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, and build positive relationships with them.
  • Be customer-focused, answer all questions and requests accurately and promptly.
  • Assist with reporting tasks such as loans, recalls, and inventory.

This position is best suited to someone who is adaptable, quick and eager to learn and most importantly a team player, in additional the following would be beneficial:

  • Previous Co-ordinator/ Customer Support role Experience
  • Experience in a service or processing environment
  • Experience in a warehouse / laundry environment
  • Efficient approach to managing workload
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proven strong communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
