About the Role

We’re seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Group Financial Controller to lead our financial reporting and compliance functions with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency. This role is critical in driving accuracy, timeliness, and transparency across all financial accounts, tax compliance, and audit processes.

You’ll lead a high-performing team to deliver seamless monthly reporting and ensure all group-level requirements are met. As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, you’ll also play a vital role in shaping a values-driven culture and providing commercial leadership that supports long-term business success.

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee all financial governance activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and accounting standards. Maintain a strong control environment and ensure financial integrity across the group.
  • Manage the end-to-end monthly reporting cycle, including preparation and review of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Ensure all group reporting requirements are met within strict deadlines.
  • Take full ownership of financial accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate, reconciliations are completed monthly, and any discrepancies or reconciling items are resolved promptly.
  • Provide clear, insightful analysis of financial performance to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Translate complex financial data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Participate and support the monthly forecast process as well as annual budget and Corporate Plan in conjunction with the broader Finance team.
  • Proactively monitor financial trends and variances, highlighting potential risks and opportunities within the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. Recommend actions to mitigate risks and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly, with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items. Maintain a high standard of financial hygiene.
  • Oversee all tax compliance activities, ensuring accurate and timely submissions. Manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring all documentation and responses are delivered in line with audit timelines.
  • Manage, mentor, and support the finance team to ensure strong performance, professional growth, and a collaborative team culture. Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing financial processes, systems, and reporting tools. Collaborate with peers to implement more efficient and effective ways of working.
  • Actively participate in the Finance LT, providing commercial leadership and helping shape a culture of values, engagement, and execution excellence across the broader finance function.

What we’re looking for

You will be highly commercial and possess strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Along with your business acumen, you will have:

  • 4+ Years Experience in a similar position
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, governance, and compliance within a complex, multi-entity environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including proficiency in managing P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, tax compliance, and audit processes
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing finance teams
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and present insights to senior stakeholders
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with experience in streamlining financial processes and driving operational efficiencies
