About the Role

As a people leader, you will be responsible for managing all inward goods into the distribution centre, including receiving local shipments and customer credits. You will also manage area leads to ensure all daily KPI safety and DIFOT targets are met.

In addition to having good knowledge of warehouse operational requirements at a manager level, you will also have knowledge of employee daily management, planning skills, and performance management. You will be expected to uphold the company’s values and lead by example in demonstrating leadership behaviours.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage tasks in the Receiving, credits and locals department, including training and labour planning
• Monitor all areas to ensure KPI targets are being met and recoded accurately. 
• Prepare and monitor the use of consumables within your area.
• Co-ordinate with WWG Shipping and External suppliers to ensure on time and accurate delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with the merchandising team on all local buy in stock to shelf.
• Maintain a high level of Housekeeping and ensure the environment is safe to work in.
• Take part in daily allocations meetings and plan the labour required to complete your task on Budget in line with KPI.
• Review your KPI’s and use reporting to develop ways to increase efficiency within your area.
• Rostering and monitoring of timesheets daily
• Supervise day to day operations and direct level 5’s where required
• Manage recruitment, induction and training of team members (end to end which includes ATRs, onboarding and offboarding)

 What we’re looking for

• Previous Experience in a similar role within a large-scale warehouse.
• Experience with Leading of a group of 20 – 40 floor team members
• Experience with KPI and Labour Planning.
• Ability to Coach and Train at a floor level.
• Experience with safety and culture
• Good performance management skills and ability to resolve situations efficiently and effectively.
• Experience with loading and unloading vehicles
• Strong knowledge of end to end warehouse practices
