Envite Environment Officer

Location: Nerang, QLD

Contract: Part-Time Permanent (64.8 per fortnight!)

About the opportunity:

The Environment Officer will support the Regional Coordinator in the delivery and coordination of Environmental projects and services including but not limited to preparation of proposals, reports, administrative support, quality and risk management. 

About you

  • You are experienced in bush regeneration, horticulture, revegetation, and landscaping.
  • You are knowledgeable in best practices for bush regeneration, weed control, and nursery work.
  • You are skilled in identifying plants and understanding local vegetation communities.
  • You are confident in leading teams and supervising on-site work.
  • You are experienced in managing projects from start to finish.
  • You are professional in your communication with all stakeholders.
  • You are able to work independently and also as part of a team.
  • You are a clear communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • You are comfortable using Windows and basic computer programs.
  • You are aware of risk management and apply safety practices.
  • You are committed to protecting the environment and supporting the community.
  • You are trained in using tools and machinery safely and effectively.
  • You are a team player who shares the values of Workways Australia.

Desired Qualifications

  • Formal qualifications in NRM, Conservation or Land Management.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110).
  • Qualifications in Chainsaw Operations.
  • Current Chemical Users certificate.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • White Card (General Construction Induction).
  • Project Management or equivalent experience
