Quality and Risk Coordinator
Location - Brisbane, QLD
Contract - Fixed Term Full-Time
Contract duration - 01 June 2026 to 31 March 2027 (10 months)
About the Opportunity
The Quality & Risk Coordinator position supports the Quality & Risk National Manager and Business Partner to ensure that quality standards are met, and risks are effectively managed across the organisation. The position supports with the maintenance of the organisational Quality Management System, Risk Management, Governance and Workplace Health and Safety Frameworks, with a focus on compliance, continuous improvement, and risk control. The positions also support Workways to achieve and maintain applicable accreditations and other standards, supporting high quality, safe and effective service delivery; and assisting in contract (funding) compliance.
Being a Quality and Risk Coordinator involves:
- Collect and regularly engage in data that helps inform on quality, risk, service delivery, WHS and contract management processes, and provide guidance on ways of responding to areas for improvement.
- Identify and assist in the development and review of processes, looking for efficiencies and improved process experience.
- Assist with Quality and Risk planning, assurance, control, and improvement, in collaboration with all stakeholders, and in compliance with all standards under legislation, funding deeds and contracts.
- Support with the maintenance of the Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) Framework.
- Assist with external audit processes, including liaising with external auditors and collaborating with internal stakeholders
- Support the Quality, Risk & WH&S Team in responding to privacy requests, and Workways maintaining its obligations under the Privacy Act 2015.
About you:
- You are a skilled professional with experience in Quality, Risk, and/or Work Health and Safety within highly regulated environments.
- You have a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders, even during periods of change.
- You possess strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish effective working relationships, gather and interpret quality information, and support the implementation of solutions.
- You maintain up-to-date knowledge of current contract obligations and applicable Federal and State legislation to ensure compliance.
- You have highly developed written communication skills, particularly in responding to Department Program Assurance activities.
- You demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, effectively managing competing priorities.
- You are a collaborative team member who works in alignment with the ethos and values of Workways Australia.
