Solid work ethic and the ability to learn and take instructions are vital for this opportunity, together with a genuine desire to complete this qualification.

What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training?

  • You would be employed by Work & Training - one of the largest employers of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted to our Hobart client for the duration of your apprenticeship.
  • You would be part of a committed team and under guidance of the site supervisor.
  • Theory training is conducted on-site.
  • Your Work & Training Apprenticeship Employment Consultant provides mentoring and employment support.
  • At the completion of your apprenticeship you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220) and become a qualified tradesperson.

 Learn how to:                                                                                                  

  • Assist in domestic construction projects, including renovations and new builds.
  • Work safely on busy building sites, alongside of other trade persons.
  • Utilise power tools safely and in accordance to WHS policies and procedures.

Desired attributes:

  • VET Pre-Vocational Construction qualification.
  • Previous work experience.

 Essential attributes:

  • Hold a current drivers licence and a reliable vehicle.
  • Have a White Card
  • Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
