Looking for Out of Trade 2nd or 3rd year Carpentry Apprentices - Complete your Certificate III in Carpentry - CPC30220 with our valued Host in Hobart.

Already got your trade? Opportunity to expand your skill set with a large company on commercial builds.

A solid work ethic and the ability to learn and take instructions are vital for this opportunity.

What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training?

  • You would be employed by Work & Training - one of the largest employers of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship.
  • You would be part of a committed team and under guidance of the site supervisor.
  • Theory training is conducted in the workplace.
  • Your Work & Training Apprenticeship Consultant provides mentoring and employment support.

 Learn how to:                                                                                                  

  • Assist in commercial construction of large scale developments.
  • Undertake formwork and suspended slabs.
  • Safely demolish existing structures, renovate and extend current structures.
  • Work safely on busy building sites, alongside of other trade persons.
  • Utilise power tools safely and in accordance to WHS policies and procedures.

Desired attributes:

  • 2nd of 3rd year Out of Trade Carpentry Apprentices or
  • Qualified Carpentry tradesmen looking for a new challenge in Southern Tasmania.

 Essential attributes:

  • Hold a current drivers licence and a reliable vehicle.
  • Have a White Card
  • Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
