Gain hands-on experience and specialized training in PLCs, automation, and control systems. About the Role:
In this role, you’ll be working on a range of industrial electrical projects, including New Sheds, Boards, Undergrounds and General Industrial Wiring and the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation and control systems. You’ll gain valuable industry experience while continuing your apprenticeship journey toward becoming a fully qualified electrician.

- You would be employed by Work & Training – One of the largest employers of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania and hosted to Rocky’s Electrical for the duration of your apprenticeship.
- Full allowances including 4 weeks of annual leave per year.

- Your Work & Training Employment Consultant would provide mentoring and employment support.
- This is a great way to complete your Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician - (UEE30820)
- National Apprenticeship wage applies.

What we are looking for:
- Current 3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice.
- Industrial experience (preferred but not essential).
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and high-quality work.
What you will bring to the team:
- A wide range of experience in residential and commercial applications.
- High level communication, customer service and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a small team environment.
- A positive attitude, self-motivation and a genuine desire to complete the qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of Work Health and Safety procedures.
Essential Criteria:
- Current manual drivers licence and reliable vehicle.
- White Card.
As a high-risk industry, the successful applicant will need to pass a pre-employment medical that will include a visual, alcohol and drug test.
What happens next?

- You may be asked to complete aptitude testing, or other documentation.
- The third stage of recruitment involves a face-to-face interview with the host employer.
- If you are the successful applicant, you will be re-signed up into your qualification, and a start date will be arranged!
