So what does an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic do?

They maintain the systems & equipment required for air conditioning units, along with food storage & preservation structures.

This is a valuable trade that can really take you places, and you will always be in demand!

This apprenticeship is within a business dealing with the system design, installation, maintenance and repair of heat pumps - an industry leader when it comes to the provision of heating & cooling systems.

👷‍♂️What would this involve?

  • You would be employed by Work & Training for the duration of your training contract.
  • Full time hours.
  • Full entitlements including four weeks of holidays per year.
  • Theory training conducted in blocks of training.
  • You would receive mentoring and support throughout the traineeship.
  • Your workplace supervisors would provide daily coaching and opportunity for growth.

⚡Gain skills you will be able to build upon:

  • Work through job requirements from specifications and drawings to lay out installation reference points.
  • Installation of heat pump and duct systems.
  • Adjusting mechanisms and controls.
  • Repair & service of heat pumps.
