- Support Group engagement on key digital, AI and technology matters
- Lead the development and management of Wesfarmers' digital content
- Partner with OneDigital and divisional teams on shared opportunities
About your team
Our Corporate Affairs team has broad responsibilities, deeply aligned with Wesfarmers reputation, including corporate communications, Group corporate reporting, government relations, oversight of the Group’s reconciliation ambition, oversight of the Group’s sustainability policies and objectives, community partnerships, stakeholder engagement and the Wesfarmers Arts program.
About you
With exposure to public policy, regulatory or government affairs, ideally relating to AI, digital platforms or data, you can track and interpret policy developments and translate them clearly for internal audiences to inform the Group's response.
You bring strong digital content and communications experience, underpinned by sharp copywriting skills across web, social and EDM formats. You understand how to keep corporate and editorial content distinct from consumer marketing, and you're comfortable managing quality, consistency and brand alignment to a high standard and on deadline.
Just as important is your ability to balance planned content with time-sensitive requests, without losing accuracy. You take ownership of your channels, surface opportunities, and apply sound judgement to what you publish or send into the review chain.
What you’ll do
Reporting to the Head of Media and Public Affairs and working closely with OneDigital and Divisional teams, you'll be a senior voice across:
- Digital policy support: help identify key digital, AI and technology platforms, risks and opportunities for the Group, including stakeholder and reputational dependencies
- Industry engagement: support Wesfarmers' participation in peer and industry forums on policy and regulatory affairs, including the Business Council of Australia and Tech Council of Australia
- Advocacy: support the Group's engagement with Government and other stakeholders on priority digital, AI and technology issues
- Digital content: develop and manage corporate and editorial content across the Group's owned channels, including the corporate website, and social and digital media
- Strategic communications: support digital communications at results, Strategy Briefing Day, AGM and ASX announcements, including managing external video, design and photography production
- Digital performance: manage the corporate website in partnership with content owners and IT, and track and report on engagement across owned channels
What you’ll need
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Political Science or a related discipline (preferred)
- Depth to career in digital content, communications or owned channel management, ideally within a corporate, agency or in-house environment
- Exposure to public policy, regulatory or government affairs, ideally relating to technology – specifically AI, digital platforms and/or data
- Ability to track, interpret and translate policy and regulatory developments for internal audiences
- Strong digital content production and copywriting across web, social and EDM formats
- Experience commissioning and managing external creative production such as video, design or photography
- Sound attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent content streams
- Confidence applying AI and digital tools to communications work
