Senior Manager, Commercial Talent and EVP | Perth or Melbourne
This is a permanent 12-month permanent max-term position based either in our Melbourne or Perth Office.
About the team
At Wesfarmers Corporate Office, we believe that building a team of outstanding people and utilising their individual talents is essential to achieving sustainable success.
To attract and retain outstanding people we strive to create an environment where team members can continually grow, thrive and connect. Our HR team helps to bring this to life by partnering with leaders and team members on a broad range of people and culture activities and initiatives.
Why this role is different
- Strategy, not just sourcing. You will own the Corporate Office talent acquisition strategy and employer value proposition end to end, from market positioning through to the KPIs that prove it is working.
- A genuine commercial pipeline. You will lead recruitment for the Wesfarmers Business Development team, one of the Group's key commercial talent pipelines, giving you visibility of the capability agenda at the heart of Wesfarmers' growth.
- Strengthen existing foundations. You will work with the existing high-calibre Talent Acquisition team to shift the model from reactive hiring to proactive, brand-led talent acquisition, and shape what "good" looks like from here.
What you’ll do

- Own and continuously evolve Wesfarmers Corporate Office's employer value proposition, translating it into compelling narratives and candidate experiences

Business Development and Corporate Office Commercial Recruitment
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for Business Development roles, including graduate recruitment to GM's.

- Strengthen Wesfarmers' profile in the external commercial talent market through events, thought leadership and targeted engagement
About You
- Significant experience in talent acquisition or talent management, ideally within a corporate, commercial or professional services environment
- A demonstrated track record of building talent strategy and employer brand, not just executing recruitment processes

- Experience in a large, complex organisation; familiarity with a conglomerate or diversified corporate structure is an advantage
- Background in or strong exposure to commercial functions such as Business Development, strategy, finance or consulting is highly regarded
- Strong external presence and networking capability, with the confidence to represent Wesfarmers compellingly in the market
- A self-directed, owner mindset, with the tenacity to build something new and operate effectively with limited structural support
