About the team

At Corporate Office, our Technology team is responsible for providing an efficient, secure and stable IT infrastructure and also supports knowledge sharing and procurement opportunities across the Wesfarmers Group.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Technology Operations Manager, this role will:

  • Lead our Service Desk team to deliver efficient and effective 1st and 2nd line support for our Corporate Office team members
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our departments, their key drivers and actively seek out innovative IT solutions to business issues
  • Manage the delivery of IT services, ensuring the smooth operation of corporate office infrastructure, end-user computing and collaboration tools
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve IT service delivery and other internal processes
  • Develop and motivate a high performing, outcome driven team ensuring mentoring, support and professional development for team members
  • Establish, update and maintain IT procedures in accordance with ITILv4 standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors to ensure service level agreements are met 
  • Act as a trusted technology partner to our Corporate Office, including to provide high-level IT support to senior leaders

What you’ll need

  • Significant experience in IT service management, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Experience in leading and developing high performing service desk teams
  • Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices
  • Advanced proficiency in service desk tools and ticketing systems
  • Strong people management and leadership skills to drive the team to achieve its objectives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent diagnostic, trouble shooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise and meet agreed deadlines
  • A results orientated, customer focused approach to your work
  • Flexibility to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call roster as required
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline (highly desirable)
