The Head of Delivery will lead the successful delivery of complex digital programs by driving alignment between strategy and execution, fostering a culture of agility and continuous improvement, and ensuring operational excellence. This role is accountable for building high-performing teams, optimising delivery frameworks, and integrating emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and value. Through strong stakeholder engagement and proactive risk management, the position ensures programs are delivered on time, within scope, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Champion agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders to align delivery with strategic priorities.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of delivery managers, scrum masters, and project leads.
- Establish and maintain delivery frameworks, governance models, and reporting standards.
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers across programs.
- Drive operational efficiency through process optimization and tooling improvements.
- Ensure stakeholder satisfaction through transparent communication and proactive engagement.
- Continually evolve the delivery processes introducing new approaches and AI technologies s
- Support the integration of emerging technologies (e.g. GenAI, automation) into delivery practices where appropriate.
What you'll bring to the table
- 8+ years of experience in digital delivery, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale digital transformation or innovation programs.
- Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to AI, automation, or emerging tech delivery is highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of agile methodologies, delivery frameworks, and modern program governance.
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale initiatives on time, within budget, and aligned to business strategy.
- Skilled in building and leading high-performing delivery teams, with a focus on coaching, empowerment, and accountability.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels and drive alignment across functions.
- Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Knowledge of tools and practices that enable operational efficiency, including automation and reporting platforms.
- Understanding of emerging technologies (e.g. AI, GenAI, automation) and their application in enhancing delivery practices.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment while maintaining focus on outcomes and value delivery.
