About the team

Our Technology team provides end to end services for our Corporate Office, as well as supporting knowledge sharing and best practice across the Wesfarmers Group.

Wesfarmers has recently introduced a new, group-wide ESG data system which aims to provide meaningful and actionable insights for senior leaders and meet evolving regulatory and reporting requirements.

This exciting new role will support the implementation and use of this ESG data system, working closely with users in the Corporate Office and our businesses.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to our Technology Systems Lead, this role will:

  • Support the implementation and ongoing configuration of the new ESG data system and other systems
  • Partner with our Corporate Office teams and businesses to understand ESG requirements and translate these into technical solutions
  • Work closely with a range of stakeholders to effectively resolve technical issues
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance of the ESG data system to ensure user requirements are met, new functionality is introduced and changes are suitably tested
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the ESG system effectively supports reporting and regulatory compliance

What you’ll need

  • Significant experience in systems administration, with a focus on process improvement
  • Experience working in a similar role within a large, complex environment
  • Strong numeracy skills including experience in data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a drive for delivering results
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Interest in sustainability
  • Tertiary qualification in Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

Nice to have’s

  • Experience in supporting data and reporting systems as it relates to sustainability or non-financial data
  • Experience using Microsoft Cloud technologies, such as Office 365 and Azure
  • Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI would be a plus)
