We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Principal! This is a hands-on role focused on project definition and structuring, commercial analysis, business case preparation, forecasting and long-term strategic planning. The Project Principle – OneDigital Commercial, will take a lead role in project delivery, financial analysis, insights and business partnering, driving the commercial agenda for OneDigital and enhancing commercial capability within the business.

The Commercial function is responsible for providing commercial support to projects across OneDigital and, ultimately, Wesfarmers Group. This includes both strategic execution and long-term strategic planning. Together, these activities ensure a satisfactory return on capital and transparency for key stakeholders.

 

What you’ll do

·       Evaluate project-based investment opportunities, including emerging innovation and corporate development initiatives.

·       Accountable for commercial impact assessment on initiatives and investments, including business case preparation and post-implementation review.

·       Influence decision-making through clear, evidence-based commercial recommendations.

·       Analyse key business drivers to develop commercial insights that improve business performance.

·       Contribute to and drive the development of the five-year strategic plan.

·       Use internal and external data sources to generate insights that support fact-based decision-making.

·       Business partnering and stakeholder management.

·       Partner with functional business units and the leadership team to define and deliver on projects to support the delivery of commercial and strategic objectives.

·       Build and maintain trusted relationships with key business partners and stakeholders across Wesfarmers divisions.

 

What you’ll need

·       4-7 years relevant experience, including experience in the design, evaluation, recommendation and implementation of evaluation opportunities

·       You are curious and a self-starter who will turn ideas into opportunities for the

Wesfarmers Group

·       A passion for adding value to a business by understanding commercial issues, solving complex problems & developing opportunities

·       You are a demonstrated high performer both in your ability to work independently or as part of a team, and have experience in leading project teams

·       You embrace the challenge of contributing to business decisions, with stakeholders at all levels. You effectively communicate your views with senior stakeholders
