About the team

Our Group Cyber Security team is responsible for leading strategy, architecture and risk approaches for cyber security across the Wesfarmers Group to ensure objectives are met and that we operate within risk appetite. In addition, the team coordinates incident response and intelligence activities across the Wesfarmers Group (for significant events) while partnering with our businesses to improve their cyber threat preparedness.

What you’ll do

Reporting to our Cyber Resilience and Intelligence Lead, this role will:

  • Operate proactively to establish strong and effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Act as a point of contact for our businesses in relation to incident response activities and ensure a timely and effective approach is adopted
  • Support the design and development of group-wide cyber security simulation exercises to effectively test our threat preparedness and response capabilities
  • Support Group-level post-incident analysis of material incidents to the Wesfarmers Group in order to extract and share lessons learned to improve future responses
  • Support group-wide incident response maturity uplift and capability through knowledge sharing, and development of standards, policies and playbooks
  • Support the team with providing regular reporting to senior leaders as it relates to IR capabilities and events across the Wesfarmers Group
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practice to enhance the Groups ability to anticipate and respond effectively to potential cyber security incidents

What you’ll need

  • Significant experience in a similar role within a large, complex environment
  • Experience in developing security operations and defence protocols, processes and reporting in hybrid and cloud-centric environments (e.g. AWS and Azure)
  • Strong understanding of security technology including SIEM, EDR, Identity Detection and Network security
  • Strong experience in threat and risk analysis/modelling, global industry practices, for incident response, threat management and / or security engineering
  • Experience with enterprise IT environments, attack modelling and response activities
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to positively influence key stakeholders
  • A naturally inquisitive and analytical mind, and strong ability to problem solve
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to identify ongoing opportunities for continuous improvement
  • A genuine interest and passion to learn and develop new skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a Cyber Security specialisation

Nice to have’s

  • Experience in at least two or more industries
  • Experience in cyber incident management for OT systems
