Job no: EXF43

At the centre of the Wesfarmers Group, we are building a cross-skilled and diverse technology team focused on engaging the business, understanding strategic drivers, co-creating value-adding solutions and pushing technical boundaries to innovate and deliver excellence to the Corporate Office.

As Senior AI Transformation Analyst, you are accountable for identifying, analysing, and packaging AI transformation opportunities across the Wesfarmers Corporate Office. Working directly with business teams, you will develop a deep understanding of how each function operates, where friction and inefficiency exist, and how AI can meaningfully change the way work gets done.

You will translate business needs into well-defined AI opportunity briefs that the AI delivery team can act on, bridging the gap between business intent and technical execution. This requires equal comfort operating in business conversations and in the AI tool landscape, with the credibility to guide teams through what is possible and what is practical.

Working at the interface between the business and the AI delivery team, you will ensure that transformation opportunities are well understood, clearly defined, and ready to build. Once solutions are in place, you will support the business through the transition to new ways of working, helping teams build the confidence and capability needed to get lasting value from AI capabilities.

This is an 18 month max-term position based in Perth.

What You’ll Do

•                    Engage with Corporate Office functions to develop a thorough understanding of current processes, ways of working, pain points, and strategic priorities.

•                    Identify and assess opportunities where AI can deliver meaningful transformation, efficiency, or quality improvements across functions including Finance, Legal, HR, Corporate Affairs, and others.

•                    Conduct structured discovery sessions with function leads and team members to surface AI use cases, prioritise them by value and feasibility, and build a pipeline of transformation opportunities for delivery.

•                    Develop well-structured AI opportunity briefs and business requirements that give the Manager, AI Delivery and Senior AI Engineers the context they need to design and build effective solutions.

•                    Act as the primary liaison between the business function and the AI delivery team throughout the delivery lifecycle, providing clarity on requirements and facilitating decisions where needed.

•                    Develop change management plans for AI transformation initiatives, considering the people, process, and capability dimensions of each change.

•                    Maintain a current and practical understanding of the enterprise AI tool landscape, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, and Google Gemini, with the ability to explain their capabilities and appropriate use cases to non-technical audiences.

•                    Build trusted relationships with leaders and team members across Corporate Office functions, acting as a credible and practical advisor on AI transformation.

What You’ll Bring

•                    Demonstrated experience in a business analysis, process improvement, or transformation role within a complex organisation.

•                    Working knowledge of the enterprise AI tool landscape, along with practical exposure to AI tools and GenAI platforms in a professional context, with the ability to assess their applicability to business problems.

•                    Experience facilitating discovery workshops and engaging stakeholders at various levels to elicit and document requirements.

•                    Experience designing or supporting change management programs, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and adoption tracking.

•                    Exposure to working alongside technical delivery teams, with an understanding of how business requirements flow into design and build activities.

•                    Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and well-structured briefing documents, opportunity assessments, and executive materials.

•                    Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust quickly across diverse teams.

•                    Tertiary qualified in relevant technology discipline (Solution Architecture, Business Improvement, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science).

•                    Lean or 6 Sigma equivalent certification preferred Work experience.

Technology used

•                    Microsoft 365 suite including Copilot.

•                    Enterprise GenAI tools (Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Google Gemini).

•                    Process mapping and diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart or equivalent).

•                    Process automation tools (UIPath, Kognitos or equivalent).

•                    Project and task management platforms.
