An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and detail-orientated individual to join our IT team at Wesfarmers Corporate Office. Reporting to the Cyber Security Engineering and Architecture Lead, this role will provide hands-on technical expertise to Wesfarmers OneDigital (OnePass). You will also play an active role in the delivery of solutions that support our cyber security requirements.
This is a full-time 12 month fixed-term position ideally based in Melbourne (however we would also consider Perth).

What You’ll Do
- Engineer Security at Every Layer: Engineer Security at Every Layer: Design, implement, and automate security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
- Architect for the Future: Contribute to solution architecture, high-level and as-built documentation, and drive the adoption of zero-trust and security-by-design principles.
- Lead and Collaborate: Work closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to integrate security into every decision and roadmap. Champion secure coding, infrastructure-as-code, and DevSecOps practices.
- Innovate and Respond: Proactively Secure Our Digital Ecosystem: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance the posture and resilience of all our digital platforms, especially our public-facing customer applications. You will drive this by leading the adoption of new security tools and frameworks
- Mentor and Influence: Share your expertise, uplift cyber maturity, and help shape a culture where security is everyone’s responsibility
Your Tech Toolbox
- Cloud & Automation: AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, AWS CDK, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
- Security & Monitoring: Microsoft Defender Suite, Sentinel, Entra, Tenable, Palo Alto, Abnormal, VMware.
- Programming: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript.
- Identity & Access: Identity & Access: IAM, RBAC, PAM, Conditional Access, MFA, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML
- OS & Device Management: Windows 11, MacOS, Intune, M365.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT, or Cyber Security.
- Cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, AWS) and/or industry certifications (CISSP, CREST, CEH, CISA, CISM).
- 5+ years’ experience designing and deploying cyber security solutions in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Deep expertise in cloud security, DevSecOps, automation, and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, ACSC Essential Eight).
- Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and making a real impact.

The Corporate Office provides corporate services and support to the autonomous businesses within the Wesfarmers Group, enabling the achievement of Group objectives. It leads capital allocation and portfolio management for the Group and focuses on leveraging and enhancing the Group’s reputation to support attraction and retention of talent, securing investment opportunities and maintaining a low-cost capital. To do this, we need great people, working together and role modelling our values and ways of working.

Our Technology team provides end to end services for our Corporate Office, as well as supports knowledge sharing and best practice across the Wesfarmers Group.
