About the team
Our Group Insurance team is responsible for the management, administration and operation of the Wesfarmers Group risk financing and insurance program, as well as our self-insured workers compensation program.
What you’ll do
Reporting to our Finance Manager – Group Insurance, this role will:
- Support the implementation and ongoing configuration of the claims management and general insurance systems, including security maintenance, workflow and code configuration
- Partner with our team to understand and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Lead the end-to-end implementation process
- Work closely with a range of stakeholders to effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Manage regulatory submissions and effectively test and introduce system enhancements to meet evolving compliance requirements for Workers Compensation
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure our systems effectively support claims management, reporting and regulatory compliance, contributing to continuous improvement and strategic alignment
What you’ll need
- Significant experience working as a Systems Administrator / Systems Analyst, with a focus on process improvement
- Experience working in a similar role within a large, complex environment
- Strong numeracy skills including experience in data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a drive for delivering results
- A proactive, self-starter attitude and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Tertiary qualification in Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
Nice to have’s
- Experience in supporting claims management and general insurance systems
- Experience working in a similar role within a workers compensation / insurance environment
- Proficiency in BI tools (MicroStrategy would be a plus)
