Our Corporate Affairs team has broad responsibilities, deeply aligned with Wesfarmers reputation, including corporate communications, Group corporate reporting, government relations, oversight of the Group’s reconciliation ambition, oversight of the Group’s sustainability policies and objectives, community partnerships, stakeholder engagement and the Wesfarmers Arts program.

About you

You bring experience in digital content, communications or owned channel management, ideally within a corporate, agency or in-house communications environment. You enjoy translating complex business topics into clear, engaging content and communicating consistently across a range of audiences and channels.

Just as important is your attention to detail and ability to balance quality, consistency and speed. You are organised, collaborative and adaptable, comfortable managing multiple content streams, working through review processes and taking ownership of digital channels and content opportunities.

What you’ll do

Working 3 days (or equivalent hours) per week, you'll help lead the Group's digital communications activity, developing and managing corporate and editorial content across owned channels including the corporate website, social and digital media. You'll support communications relating to Group results, Strategy Briefing Day, the AGM, sustainability initiatives and broader Corporate Affairs priorities.

  • Digital content and owned channels: develop and manage corporate and editorial content across the Group’s owned channels, including the corporate website, social and digital media, and internal platforms such as WINK and Viva Engage
  • Group communications: support Corporate Affairs activity including Wesfarmers results, Strategy Briefing Day, AGM communications and ASX announcements
  • Website management: manage the Wesfarmers corporate website in partnership with specialist content owners and IT, ensuring content is current, accurate and aligned to brand standards
  • Content production: coordinate internal and external video, design and photography production as required, working with vendors to brief, budget and deadline
  • Performance and governance: exercise sound judgement when publishing content, work through the team’s review chain where needed, and track engagement across owned channels

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism or a related discipline preferred, but not essential where demonstrated experience is strong
  • Significant experience in digital content, communications or owned channel management, ideally within a corporate, agency or in-house communications environment
  • Demonstrated experience producing content across web, social and EDM platforms
  • Strong digital content production and copywriting capability, with working knowledge of content management systems, social platforms and email marketing tools
  • Experience commissioning or managing external creative production such as video, design or photography
  • Sound understanding of brand consistency, tone and the distinction between corporate or editorial content and consumer marketing
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and the ability to manage multiple concurrent content requests and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and confidence applying AI and digital production tools

About Wesfarmers

As one of Australia’s largest listed companies, we’re proud of our longstanding contribution to Australians. We continually reinvent ourselves and invest in the businesses we own and operate, including leading retailers like Bunnings, Kmart, Target, Officeworks and Priceline. Our work doesn’t stop there, we operate in the industrials sector which supplies the nation with chemicals, energy and fertilisers, and industrial and safety products. And we participate in an integrated lithium joint venture, including the operation of a mine and concentrator and the development of a refinery.

Join the team at Corporate Office which provides support and advice across the Wesfarmers Group
