Our business is growing and so is the Engineering Team. In this newly defined position, we're looking for a Senior Cloud Engineers to Develop and manage our cloud environment (AWS) & common services.
In this role, you'll get to:
- Develop and manage our cloud environment (AWS) & common services
- Enhance our developer experience (DX) by building self-service capabilities and ensuring our shared tooling is performant, secure and resilient
- Help develop our Platform and SRE roadmap
- Responsible for our incident management processes and participate in the 24x7 on-call roster.
- Automate “all-the-things”
- Uplift our culture to continuously measure and improve system performance using common SRE practices
- Contribute to our team planning, present work completed at showcase and provide continuous feedback to your team and peers
- Your deliverables contribute to the team meeting their OKRs/Goals
- Work with key product stakeholders to align to customer needs
- Be a mentor to more junior engineers
- Learning from your team while you share your knowledge adding your very own splash of colour to our palette and make it fun. At OneDigital It is part of everyone’s core role to ensure that no one is left behind and that everyone is enjoying their journey as they evolve!
To shine on day one, what you need to have:
- Demonstrated skills in provisioning and managing secure cloud environments at scale
- Experience building & deploying micro-services in a modern cloud-based environment.
- The ability to build cloud infrastructure using any modern infrastructure-as-code tool (Terraform, CDK, Cloud Formation etc)
- Experience or familiarity with designing and building distributed systems using event sourcing / event-driven architecture (Kafka ideally) and/or API’s:
- Experience with one or more container scheduling/orchestration products - Kubernetes, ECS etc
- You’re an expert when it comes to CI/CD and experienced with most tools and have opinions on what’s good/bad (Jenkins, Buildkite, GHActions etc)
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools and frameworks
- Passion for quality, with a focus on unit testing and container-based testing
- Ability to work well in a team or autonomously; whether in the office or remote
- Comfortable working with multiple cross-functional development teams
- Great communication skills, positivity and results-driven focus
- You enjoy working in a dynamic greenfield environment and have a key eye for problem solving
- Proficiency in Node.js, Python, Kotlin or Golang (nice to have)
- Exposure with advanced deployment techniques - blue/green, canary etc (nice to have)
