The Communications team purpose is to lead the ‘How we get there’ pillar. To provide overarching change strategy, communication, training plans and approach, provide support in developing communications and training approach and artefacts, collaborate with change agents to personalise and tailor plans to divisions, lead and provide support to the change network.
What you’ll be doing
Enhancing and protecting the company's reputation through internal and external programs which are in line with Catch and OneDigital’s values.
Key duties and deliverables:
- Protect and enhance the reputation of the Catch and OneDigital business – internally and externally
- Develop, implement and lead the communication strategy to engage, inform and inspire team members
- Create clear communications to bring to life our vision, values and strategy through the creation of innovative, transformative and emotionally engaging communication
- Refine / improve existing channels and identify and create new channels to effectively target and communicate to the team
- Execute new and innovative ways to communicate business strategy, brand values and information to team members that inform, build understanding and increase engagement
- Provide corporate affairs support and counsel to leaders across the businesses to minimize negative reputational impact or maximise positive reputational impact
- Provide guidance to the broader business as a trusted adviser on the appropriate reputational stance for the organisation through written or verbal communications
- Identify and engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure reputation management is handled appropriately
- Manage media and issues across the business to protect and enhance reputation
- Communicate key Wesfarmers messages to keep the Catch team informed
To shine on day one, what you need to have:
- Experience in a Communications / Public Relations role
- Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations or journalism
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage and resolve complex issues
- Corporate Affairs and internal communications experience
- Project management experience
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills
- High level of personal judgement and initiative
- Able to operate at all levels in organisation particularly within senior management
- Ability to operate under pressure in a changing environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
