In this role, you'll get to

  • Identify the key actionable insights through the analysis of data and translate this into clear business relevant recommendations and presentations.
  • Showcase, benchmark and quantify the value and outcomes of analytics-based decision making.
  • Apply appropriate analytical methods and techniques in an agile, pragmatic way that reflects the needs, constraints and KPIs of the business (e.g. time, cost, quality, data availability).
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by cultivating relationships with stakeholders and across various Leadership teams to deliver ad-hoc insights and by building repeatable reports and so the value from becoming a data driven organisation.
  • Contribute to the direction, development and implementation of the data and analytics strategy, roadmap and knowledge base within OneDigital and broader analytics teams within Wesfarmers divisions.

Relationship & KPIs

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Analytics, Digital / Ecommerce, Marketing, Commercial, Technology, Data Engineering and Data Science teams to deliver valuable solutions to key business problems.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by cultivating relationships with stakeholders to improve their understanding and knowledge of analytical techniques and outcomes.
  • Effective communication with key stakeholders around the delivery of key projects.

Delivery

  • Design and implement new analytics solutions, to meet business needs.

Innovation

  • Source, develop and apply new and existing analytical methods and techniques.

To shine on day one, what you need to have:

  • Analytics professional with a proven track record (1-2 years) in the development and business use of digital analytics technology and working with large & complex data sets.
  • Track record in designing and delivering data driven and/or analytics solutions that are actionable.
  • Proficiency in SQL and digital analytics (e.g. Google BigQuery, Tealium).
  • Ability to engage and influence business users in the opportunity and benefit from data driven decisions.

It's a bonus, but not required, if you have:

  • Experience with BI visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience in big data analytics and technology.
  • Proficiency in DAX and Power Query.
  • Familiarity with web architecture including tag management, data layers, analytics tracking, and corresponding data flows.
