Wesfarmers OneDigital is building Australia's leading data and digital retail ecosystem, underpinned by AI across everything we do. We operate across four pillars - loyalty, data, retail media and AI, turning millions of customer interactions into insights that shape how Australians shop, live and connect.

Joining Wesfarmers OneDigital means you’ll:

  • Work with some of Australia’s most iconic brands and be part of one of the country’s largest and most respected employers, known for its steady growth and strong performance.
  • Be part of a future-focused digital ecosystem, where AI, data and technology are at the core of what we build - backed by significant investment and partnerships with global technology leaders.
  • Belong to a genuinely supportive team - a group of down-to-earth people who value integrity, openness, accountability and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Grow your career with confidence, backed by development opportunities and long-term progression across the broader Wesfarmers Group.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Manager to join our team in Melbourne.

Reporting to the GM, Strategy & Operations, the Strategy Manager helps shape and deliver OneDigital's strategic agenda across loyalty, data, retail media and AI. This is a hands-on role - writing board papers, building business cases, preparing executive briefing materials, and working with divisional and Group stakeholders to land strategic initiatives.

You'll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, provide commercially grounded analysis, and drive initiatives from concept through to delivery. The role requires someone who can move comfortably between big-picture thinking and detailed execution – structured enough to produce board-quality work, adaptable enough to operate in a fast-moving environment executing the implementation of key initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare board papers, executive summaries, briefing notes and presentation decks for the Wesfarmers Board, Group CEO and OneDigital leadership.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and recommendations for decision forums, ensuring clarity, commercial rigour and actionable insights.
  • Ensure materials are clear, commercially grounded and meet Wesfarmers' governance standards.
  • Lead business cases end-to-end - financial modelling, scenario analysis, risk assessment and commercial rationale.
  • Translate strategic opportunities into investment-ready proposals with clear return expectations.
  • Support the development and evolution of OneDigital's strategic roadmap across its four pillars (loyalty, data, retail media, AI).
  • Act as a strategic integrator, ensuring initiatives are embedded and adopted across the business.
  • Work across OneDigital, divisional teams (Bunnings, Kmart, Target, Officeworks, Wesfarmers Health) and Group functions (finance, legal, technology).

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years in strategy or business transformation
  • Experience in retail, loyalty, data or AI-driven environments
  • Strong commercial acumen: proven ability to build business cases, model financials, and assess investment opportunities
  • Exceptional communication, writing and presentation skills — experience preparing board papers, executive briefings and presentation decks to a high standard
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills — translating complex challenges into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and influence stakeholders across all levels in a fast-moving environment
  • An informed perspective on how AI, data and digital platforms are reshaping retail

Highly regarded

  • Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm
  • Familiarity with process redesign methodologies (e.g. Kaizen, Lean) applied to AI-enabled workflow transformation
