The opportunity:

Kinetic is currently seeking a Head of Risk and Compliance to develop, lead, maintain, and report on Kinetic’s enterprise-wide risk management, compliance, and business continuity frameworks. Reporting to General Counsel, this role works closely with members of the Executive Leadership Team, Chair of Kinetic’s Audit and Risk Committee (ARC), and broader management cohort to oversee the delivery of corporate compliance and risk management activities.

As a newly created position, the role offers a unique opportunity to shape and enhance our corporate compliance and risk management initiatives.

Key responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development and continuous refinement of Kinetic's risk management framework to identify, assess and mitigate risks across all aspects of our operations.
  • Oversee regular reviews of our internal controls, documentation, and communication to maintain robust governance standards.
  • Support the administration, identification, measurement, and control of strategic risks, ensuring alignment with our operational objectives and integration into our day-to-day activities.
  • Assist in developing and updating effective Business Continuity Plans, working closely with senior leadership.
  • Lead the quarterly review and reporting of our risk registers, collaborating with senior leadership to prepare comprehensive updates for presentation to the Audit and Risk Committee and the Board.
  • Conduct annual reviews of Kinetic's delegations to ensure consistency with our internal control environment and regulatory obligations, together with the Group Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel.
  • Develop and implement a compliance management and monitoring framework, conducting assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across all business units.  
  • Monitor, manage, and report on Kinetic’s compliance obligations, including those that relate to legislation, licensing and permits, and internal policies.  
  • Develop and deliver training programs on compliance and risk management, working closely with the executive leadership team to instill a culture of compliance and appropriate risk.
  • Maintain centralised records of Kinetic’s compliance obligations, ensuring timely monitoring, management, and reporting, including liaising with regulatory bodies on licensing and permit requirements. 

The boxes you'll tick:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required. 
  • Advanced qualifications in risk management, compliance, or governance. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong analytical and planning skills. 
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated enthusiastic approach to day-to-day business operations and positive approach to a continual changing work environment. 
  • Strong computer literacy, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
