The opportunity:

Be the Heart of Real-Time Operations!

Kinetic is seeking a proactive Operations Controller to support live transport operations. In this role, you’ll coordinate driver and vehicle movements, respond to incidents, and help maintain reliable services.

We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds whether you have direct experience in transport operations or bring transferable skills from fast-paced environments such as logistics, emergency services, customer service, or operations coordination.

If you can stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and make sound decisions in real time, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe and efficient services.

About the role:

  • Monitor and manage live transport network KPIs, ensuring on-time and reliable service
  • Provide real-time support to drivers during incidents and emergencies
  • Collaborate to adjust operations in response to disruptions
  • Record and escalate incidents and maintain accurate system documentation
  • Assist Managers to implement business plans and strategic objectives
  • Manage and update operational systems, ensuring accurate and timely data entry
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including emergency services and authorities, when required


About you: 

  • Ability to work shift work
  • Previous experience in scheduling, network operations, transport coordination, or a similar operational role
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to manage schedules and adapt quickly to changing operational demands
  • Competence in accurately recording incidents and escalating issues when necessary
  • Confidence in supporting frontline drivers during incidents and emergency situations
  • Demonstrated ability to follow policies and procedures
  • Experience in engaging with external stakeholders to manage service delivery and disruptions
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed problem-solving abilities
  • A MR driver’s licence or a willingness to obtain
  • QLD Drivers Authority is preferred or a willingness to obtain 
  • Current First Aid certificate is preferable or a willingness to obtain
  • Working with Children Check or a willingness to obtain
  • Be able to pass a pre‐employment functional and drug & alcohol clearance
