The opportunity:

As an Operations Supervisor, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of our services. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supervising daily operational activities to guarantee safe, punctual, and customer-focused transportation services. This role is primarily responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of Kinetic Specialised Resources bussing contracts across Central Queensland and the Bowen Basin. 

You’ll be involved in:

  • Oversee daily operations including fleet, maintenance, safety, people management and contractors.
  • Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Support and engage with drivers and staff, ensuring rosters, pay queries and workplace concerns are managed promptly and fairly.
  • Ensure adherence to company, client and legislative requirements (e.g. fatigue, fitness for work, reporting).
  • Lead and support safety investigations, assessments and driver evaluations.
  • Monitor and improve operational performance through registers, compliance checks and reporting.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, pre-starts and clear communication of company and client updates.
  • Lead by example with professionalism, accountability and high standards.

The boxes you'll tick: 

  • MR license with passenger accreditation (Driver Authority).
  • Completion of Chain of responsibility; Driver and scheduler course to administer the implementation of fatigue management strategies (or the ability to obtain) 
  • Tertiary qualifications in a Logistics or Transport based discipline or equivalent industry experience
  • Knowledge of the Coach Transport Industry Experience in administrative, logistics or transport roles will be highly regarded
  • Experience with, and use of the Distinctive Systems (Coach Manager) or other scheduling software is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with influence both written and verbally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, coach and mentor high performing teams to ensure employee engagement is maintained, and where possible enhanced.
